PC Games » The Simpsons - Arcade Game

The Simpsons Arcade Game was what I call a "2 1/2-D fighting adventure game." You know, like Double Dragon, or Final Fight. In the early '90s, this genre gobbled up the most quarters, from since forgotten titles such as Vendetta & DJ Boy, to popular franchise-based games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, & this one. I wouldn't mind seeing the fighting adventure game make a comeback, especially since it's rare nowadays to find an arcade with any games that don't involve shooting, driving, or (shudder) dancing.

Konami, the company responsible for earlier classics like Contra, put out the Simpsons Arcade Game in 1991, right at the end of the show's second season, & in the height of its popularity. I must have pumped a grand total of, oh, I'd say about 50 dollars of my lunch money into that machine before its tenure as the game to play was up. And I wouldn't regret it if that guess is accurate. Especially since it's about to provide me with perfectly good website content. Get ready, kids.

PC Games » The Simpsons - Cartoon Studio

The Simpsons Cartoon Studio was an animation software title released for Windows and Macintosh computers in 1997 by Fox Interactive.

Though often coined as a game, The Simpsons Cartoon Studio was actually a design application for creating small cartoons using characters, sounds, music, and locations from the television show The Simpsons. The application came with hundreds of animations of many of the show's characters and allowed users to create and export cartoons that could be viewed by anyone who had a bundled application called The Simpsons Cartoon Player.

The Cartoon Studio included 50 special effects, 270 props and 45 backgrounds and was created with over 10,000 individual cells, hand-drawn by actual The Simpsons cartoonists. It uses an improved version of the interface from Felix the Cat's Cartoon Toolbox. A demo version was offered for download, which has a limited number of background sets, characters, and props.

PC Games » The Simpsons - Jeopardy

Simpsons Jeopardy! began as a board game (published by Pressman®) which took the popular game show "Jeopardy!" and themed it to the long-running animated series "The Simpsons". The game contained a Jeopardy! style plastic board behind which question sheets could be inserted. Small clickers were included for "buzzing in". 40 game sheets, each containing 25 questions for (single) Jeopardy! and 25 questions for Double Jeopardy! brought the total number of questions to 2000, all of which were Simpsons trivia.

PC Games » The Simpsons - Virtual Springfield

Virtual Springfield is a Windows and Macintosh computer game released in 1997 and published by Fox Interactive. It was developed by Digital Evolution. Similar in format to first-person exploration games like Myst, Virtual Springfield allows one or two players to explore a 3D simulation of Springfield, the fictional town featured in the well known animation series The Simpsons. Many of the show's more familiar locations are present, including Moe's Tavern, Krustylu Studios, Springfield Elementary, and of course the Simpsons' house. Players can point and click to interact with characters and settings. Other than a few mini-games, there is no real objective.
